Wow!!! There aren't enough words. It wasn't just a house, it was an experience!!! Beautiful, clean, well stocked home, in an even more stunning surrounding! This is the perfect space for indoor and/or outdoor lovers. There were MANY games, books, and dvds, for all ages to enjoy for weeks! Then the property... You could be there for a month & probably still not explore all the property & enjoyed all the "magical spots." To top it all, the hosts were very responsive & very accommodating with using their recreational items to fully enjoy the space. Let's also not forget the INDOOR hot tub!!! We love traveling to new areas, but will not hesitate to make multiple repeat visits here! We spent time "pondering" when it snowed & rained, & we ventured "yonder" in many areas of the property when the sky was clear! 🥰 LOVED IT!!!

I am not sure if we can say enough amazing things about our stay! It was truly THE gem of Airbnb rentals. From booking until check out everything was seamless. The house is incredible. Clean, well stocked, and they literally thought of everything! The grounds are beautiful. The game room was a huge hit with both the adults and kids!!And when I accidentally got a pinball stuck in the machine, they were very responsive and helpful in helping us dislodge it. When you travel, it’s so nice to be able to go and just enjoy the space and not have to think about anything, and that’s how it felt staying here. Our three kids did not want to leave and proclaimed it was the greatest rental we have ever stayed in! My husband and I can’t disagree. We absolutely hope to return in the future. Absolutely beautiful home and a beautiful property. I highly recommend booking this home if you have a large group. It fit all of my friends very comfortably and the house is perfect for games and hanging out. We also skied 2 days and the drive was about 20 mins but very scenic and easy drive. The perfect place to stay for families or large groups of friends. It would be most beautiful at the start of the foliage season. There’s plenty of games and things to do in the house. What’s so impressive is that everything is so clean and well kept. Even the sheets are fresh smelling! This is very rare for a large Airbnb house. My favourite was the pool table in the garage and the hot tub. The location is so convenient by car. Highly recommended, one of my best Airbnb stays.

We had the most amazing week with our two adult sons and their girlfriends. Ponder Yonder was even better than the pics and description!! We all enjoyed watching the otters and herons, picking blackberries, kayaking in the pond, hiking, hotubbing, and competing in the awesome game room! The biggest bonus is that the restaurants and markets of Wilmington are only a few minutes away. We enjoyed our meals out (wow, Wilmington has some great restaurants), but we really enjoyed picking up some yummy meats at the market and grilling at the house. By the way, the kitchen is stocked with everything that you could possibly need and it was spotless! Vanessa and Dan are wonderful hosts who have created a truly special retreat. We could tell this was a home and not just a rental. Do yourself a favor and book Ponder Yonder!

Excellent place to stay. Very comfortable for our multi generational family. The grounds are lovely and plenty of birds and animals to keep us interested. The Shearer Hill hiking trail is close to the driveway. If you are up for it you can take a challenging hike to the water tower. Vanessa was very responsive we could not have asked for a better host. Bonus is the town of Wilmington. Lots of food options, a grocery and a Walgreens. We would definitely stay here again.

We had an amazing stay with friends! The house is huge and has everything you need. The new bathrooms are super clean, and the kitchen is fully equipped. Loved the game room, hot tub and indoor entertainment options. Plus, there is a lake and other outdoor activities very close to the house. Communication was great and everything worked perfectly. Such a spacious house with every amenity you can think of for a comfortable stay. I brought a good size family with me including my one year old and when I needed a pack-n-play for my son Vanessa and Dan had one! My wife and I are looking to rent again soon. This home exceeded every single expectation. The photos and description looked amazing, but it was even better in person and we couldn’t have asked for better hosts. The house itself was completely updated throughout, easily and spaciously fit 8 adults and three children, and had endless activities to do. From the game room, to multiple livings rooms, to the extensive DVD collection, to the fire pit, to the acres of land equipped with hiking trails, ponds, waterfalls, and relaxing chairs, there was an abundance of entertainment in house. The surrounding town was the perfect New England area with good neighborhood bars and eateries, as well as multiple Sugar Shacks to get into the spirit of Vermont. Dan and Vanessa were some of the best hosts I’ve ever dealt with, providing timely responses, recommendations on the area itself, and were incredibly gracious and kind throughout. This truly felt like a home away from home for our family, and I cannot recommend this house any higher.

We had a group of 12 with two small infants and this was the perfect winter getaway for our group. The house was well stocked with everything we needed, the only thing we needed was food to cook and our clothes. The property is beautiful with an endless amount of activities and wildlife to enjoy. We appreciate that the house came with all essentials such as sugar/ salt/ dishwasher pods/ washer pods/hair dryer/ garbage bags/ towels, etc.. as that made our stay so much easier. The house is great for kids too as it comes with a playroom and a lot of options for entertainment. The indoor hot tub is fantastic. The WiFi worked great. The hosts are friendly and responsive. Vanessa and Daniel are offering a wonderful AirBnB property. This home had tons of space, an incredible amount of indoor activities suitable for all ages (loved the classic pinball!!), and the kitchen, appliances and comfortable personal spaces were very functional and what we'd expect in our own home. The expansive grounds were so lovely with the ponds and woods and wildlife. Although we saw it during milder weather, I suspect once the snow and cold arrives, it will be great fun in other ways as well. Highly recommend.

My family enjoyed every minute of our stay! The house was beautiful, the property was gorgeous, we honestly couldn't ask for more in any way. We enjoyed kayaking, walking the trails throughout the property, star gazing on the porch, table tennis matches....there wasn't enough time in the day to do all the activities at our disposal. The property offers great privacy with the convenience of shopping close by, the house is furnished beautifully and the high-end spa like bathrooms give ambience that added a touch of indulgence to our stay. We absolutely loved our stay! The house comfortably accommodated 3 generations of our family with its 3 bedrooms with en-suites and all of the great spaces for gathering, cooking, and playing. The interior was designed with children in mind as we had 3 toddlers and no worriers about low decorations or dangerous furniture. The property is the real star of the show as it is completely private with many walking paths leading to sitting areas set up with beautiful views of the ponds, waterfall, and wildlife. We spent the weekend exploring the property, kayaking, hiking on the trails, and enjoying the game room. The type of place that already has us wanting to plan another trip!

Kayaking and canoeing in the front pond was enjoyable. Hiking into the woods was limited by muddy conditions due to the excessive rainfall Vermont experienced last week. We loved our stay at this property. There are two big living rooms which provides a lot of space for people to spread out. The home has a great decor, the owners clearly took the time to make the place nice. There are tons of bathrooms, each one seems remodeled. The beds were super comfortable. There are new tvs in virtually every room. Multiple places for people to sit outside and enjoy the views. The game room was so much fun. They had basketball, skee ball, ping pong, billiards, and a pin ball machine! Looks like they had kayaks and canoes but we didn't end up using them since our stay was short. All in all the place felt great. It's well maintained, feels modern indoors and rustic outdoor. No complaints!

Our family had an amazing stay at Ponder Yonder. The house is beautiful, spacious, with great views of the property from nearly every room. When we were indoors, the boys loved the game room and jacuzzi. But the real star is the rest of the property. We spent most of our time outdoors watching the wildlife (tons of bird species, beavers, frogs, fish, and more), kayaking, exploring the ponds, and checking out the hiking trails that connect to the property. And at night, we always ended the day around the campfire and the stars. We got out and explored some restaurants, shops, mountain trails, etc. nearby, but we always looked forward to coming back and experiencing more the property had to offer. Great place to stay for a family or multiple families that want space, privacy, and tranquility in a beautiful environment.

Vanessa and Dan's home was everything my group hoped for and more. Comfortable sleeping arrangements, great kitchen, incredible game room, and an absolutely beautiful property. Not a bad drive to Mount Snow if you're skiing (20 minutes), but also more than enough to do in and around the house to keep you occupied for a nice long weekend. Would love to come back during warmer months and fully explore and enjoy the property. As a host, Vanessa was also everything you can hope for. Vanessa's place was perfect for the 9 people on this trip (4 adults, 5 children). There was space enough for the two families to essentially have our own sections of the house, but not so much space as to be cumbersome. Vanesa and Dan were fabulous hosts! The house is well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The house was available when requested, the place was spotless and the fun began right away. They had games, a well equipped game room, and several TV’s to pass the time. We used the hot tub and enjoyed exploring the property which was immense and very private and peaceful. We used the fire pit and grill as well. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms and kitchen were all very modern and towels were plentiful. I could not think of one thing that was missing. We love Wilmington and have been going up there on Columbus day weekend for the past 4-5 years. The leaf peeping and hiking is always enjoyable and there is plenty to do. Honestly, you don't even really need to leave this place if you didn't want to what with the game room, canoes, kayaks and walking trails! The property itself is nice and private. Ponder Yonder is a wonderful property. The house has been thoroughly modernized, great bathrooms, A/C and internet. Beds are new and very comfortable. Sheets and towels so good I wrote down the manufacturer to buy some. Kitchen is very large. Appliances are great - grill is new. It is a lovely home. We had a wonderful visit. The outside has 5 or so ponds. Pathways are maintained so you can walk around them. Chairs and tables are outside so you can sit and relax. There is a state park right across the street, and walking trails to the other side. Dan was wonderful with maps and information for hiking or running. House is better than pictured. Owners could not have been more responsive. We had a fabulous time there.

We cannot say enough good things about this property. The home is spacious enough that four adult couples could have their own space, the fire pit was awesome, the chairs spread around the property were wonderful, and the game room kept us all both entertained and happy! Plus, the gift basket with local wares was amazing! If you have ragweed allergies make sure you bring extra allergy stuff, though. Honestly it was a top five vacation stay for all of us and we'd happily return for more!

We really enjoyed our stay! The week just flew by! The property owners were very responsive with clear instructions. The house/property was just like the photos -- Absolutely gorgeous and peaceful! Large windows so you can enjoy the light and spacious views in every room. Ponds are accessible for canoeing or kayaking. The hot tub was so relaxing! The recommended places to eat were close by and delicious. The grocery store was also conveniently located... which was perfect for the large kitchen. The game room is filled with recreational activities such as ping-pong, skee-ball, and basketball. There is so much to do outside and indoors. Our only regret is not inviting more people to enjoy such a spacious and accommodating oasis on this relaxing, gorgeous Vermont property.

I read other reviews on this home and a few had said the pictures do it no justice. I wasn't sure that was possible - it absolutely is!!! This home is so much more than you can imagine. My husband and I woke up each morning to go out on the deck & listen to the wonderful sounds of nature. The kids had a fantastic time in the kayaks on the ponds & catching frogs. This was the very first time I have ever been away with all 4 of our children and been able to just truly RELAX! If you're looking for a very quiet, mellow get away - this is the place for you! This house was very well maintained! Our group felt very comfortable here. The hosts responded to our questions almost immediately! The only problem we had was getting the air conditioner to work properly, but the hosts said that they brought out a tech earlier in the season and would have another tech take a look soon. Our stay at Ponder Yonder was amazing! We loved every minute of our time at the house and everyone loved the game room most of all!!! The house was immaculate and fully stocked with everything we needed (the welcome basket was awesome!) which was much appreciated since we flew in. The layout of the house worked very well for our group consisting of three families with teenagers. There was plenty of space for everyone to spread out between the game room, lower living room, and upper living room. The hot tub was fantastic after full days on skiing at Mount Snow. Vanessa provided great recommendations for dinner at 19 South Main as well as cinnamon buns at Sticky Fingers (on the way to the slopes). Thank you very much for a wonderful stay in Vermont; we would highly recommend your home and we hope to return next year!

My husband and I (and our FIVE boys!) stayed with another couple and their two kids and it was perfect! There was lots of room and things to do to keep everyone busy, the kitchen was well stocked (not just a random potato masher and mis-marched forks, but everything you actually need to cook for a dozen people). The game room and hot tub were a huge hit and we had fun exploring the property on a 60 degree February day when it was too warm to ski!

We were a group of 3 and 1/2 couples with kids ages 6-8. A large group. The house was a great place to stay even in the freezing cold weather, and if you don’t ski! Lots of fun games, video and arcade like game room!! There was more than enough space for everyone and the kids even enjoyed exploring outside around the house with some of the dads wearing snowshoes that were in the garage. The beds were very comfortable and the adults also enjoyed the hot tub! Everyone had a great time, we weren’t in need of anything there. The host is responsive and helpful.

If you are looking for a place to stay on the edge of the snow season when it is hard to predict the snow in advance, this is the place for you! When some of our outdoor plans were canceled we were able to take advantage of all the activities the house had to offer! Eight of our family members, ages 10 to 70, gathered to celebrate Christmas in the house. There was something for everyone, from pond skating and hiking to pinball tournaments, pool table games, and ping pong challenges. The house is so well equipped all you really need to bring is yourself. There is also a nice grocery store nearby so you can stock up on food and never really need to leave the house. Mount Snow was conveniently close as well.
